Life Support (2022). An interactive robotic and durational pneumatic system inviting touch, comprising two compressors running for 15 minutes continuously, a programmed timer, handmade vinyl pillows and thrifted textiles. Inspired by the somatic experiencing concept of pendulation, the rhythms of Life Support mimic the slow breathing of a rhizomatic animal. Participants are invited to stroke, hug and cuddle the pneumatic elements.
